Pancake with Homemade Salted Caramel

December 29th is my third son's 6th birthday and we are thinking of cooking something just enough but memorable for him.He then suggested to just have pancake for his birthday and we were done. However, as his birthday approaches he wanted his pancakes to have toppings and so I started the research and ended up wanting to have his pancakes topped with salted caramel sauce that I found and copied from Brown Eyed Baker.

Followed her recipe and instructions and I ended up with a delicious salted caramel. My eldest loves it so much that he eat it straight from the jar.

Comes December 29 and I started cooking the pancakes. If you want to follow my recipe I am listing it below.

Pancake Recipe

3       cups flour

1       cup of sugar
3       eggs
1 1/2 cups  milk
1/2    cup  water
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix all dry ingredients and add wet ingredients. Mix with a whisk or hand mixer until well incorporated.

Heat pan and rub margarine or butter. Start frying your pancakes on low-medium heat.

When all done! I piled up about 5 pancakes, topped it with a slice of butter, and drizzled with my homemade salted caramel sauce.

Glad that my 6 years old loved it and it made his birthday special.
